The voyage to North Cape continues....

Today, we've travelled 400kms from Inari to Honningsvag.  This evening we're off to North Cape for "sunset"!  As we moved from Finland to Norway, the skies clouded over and there's not a sign of the sun!   Maybe in the next 5 hours the skies will clear...and we'll see the 10 minute sunset to sunrise!

Here's the view from my room in Inari.....quite magical!

Apart from the beautiful scenery the last couple of days have been filled with "encounters" with the Sami people of the area and reindeer.

A beautiful Sami building that's been relocated to a cultural centre in Inari.

Stream leading into Lake Inari close to our accommodation

As we moved from Finland to Norway, the terrain changed from being flat with large forests and lakes to mountainous with lower vegetation.   Here's out first distant glimpse of residual snow though low hanging cloud.

We then travelled along the most northerly fjord in Norway - Porsangerfjord.

Perfect setting of "Nordic Noir"
